Supporting Online Post-Traditional Adult Learners through Coaching with Presence: A Systems View

SESSION DESCRIPTION: Our success coaches utilize high touch practices to help improve online learners’ persistence and support students in their journeys to achieving academic success. The unique structure and positioning of Ecampus within the university provides multiple support resources in one place. Success coaches are one part of a larger Student Success Team within multiple units working to support students throughout the life-cycle. This interactive session will outline how the success coaching program at OSU Ecampus was created and continues to evolve. This session will also introduce coaching foundations in use, discuss coaching appointments, identify key stakeholders, and share data about the role of coaching in student success. Participants will leave with a new perspective and ideas to help guide their own coaching program.
